I just realized how Yamaken-kun is great as a whole. He is an ideal guy for me now. 7 years ago when I've first watched this anime, I don't like him because he is getting in the way of Haru, and I don't like rivals in romance anime. Rewatching now, made me realized how great he is a whole - he can balance his leisure time and studies; he's handsome, smart, and rich. Man, he is an ideal guy. I just appreciate hime too much now. I just can't. Too bad that he fell in love with someone who's already inlove with someone.

The screentime this blonde moron gets is astonishing. When I started the anime it was really wholesome and funny, but since like 3-4 episodes he gets the most screentime of them all, while being the most boring character to ever exist. I hate this trope so much and I'm glad it's dying out. Looking at new shojo animes, they are just plain wholesome and don't need a love triangle bullshit. Romance Killer has it kinda, but it's so well done.
Here it's just completely bad and has no point at all, just to be annoying.
